From one man to the next

Program Notes: From 2022 was definitely one of those years that I have no fond memories of. I went through a pretty awful break up with who I thought was the love of my life, he actually ended it about a month after this was written. I wrote this long for ambient electronic piece on the train from Chicago to East Lansing after telling him that I was in love with him and wanted more and his response was “I know.” He told me a month later over text that while I was amazing for all sorts of reasons that he listed, he just didn’t feel the same way. This is all while my longer term parter of 13 years had moved to Sweden, and we were exploring polyamory. From one man to the other is about how I knew I was ready to end that relationship (it took me 10 more months to admit that).
